Called saying they from Sky and asking how much I currently pay for my Sky package, if from Sky, you would have thought they would know. Sounded like Indian call centre. Sounds like scam.
Caller claimed to be offering refund for mis-sold PCP for my car. Knew my full name, and said my name and number were on “the National Consumer Database” but withdrew this claim when challenged (there is no such thing as “the” National Consumer Database, certainly not in UK). Caller was vague about name of company, told me it was not possible to give me contact details of company’s Data Protection Officer, and stalled when I asked to speak to their manager. (By this time I was just trolling as we both knew the caller was making it all up.) NB. This is clearly phishing as I have never bought a car!
Three calls in the space of 25mins. Never answered any as i dont recognise the number.
Caller claiming calling from EE to upgrade or offer discount for upcoming mobile bills. I said to them I rather visit a branch to do it but they said its only online. I told them I won’t confirm my details over the phone and if this what they need thank you but I don’t want discount. I hang up. Not sure if it is genuine call or scam.
