01977 216020 Neutral Who called me from this phone number?

Got a missed call from them so I rang back with caller ID withheld. Guy who answered had a local accent and said he was from some group called Better Energy and started banging on about government grants, solar power and saving money on energy. Soon as I told him I was on TPS he apologised and hung up.

DOZEY PILLOCK. Rang just now and asked for the "house owner". Erm, they aren't in (I rent) and when I told the idiot that he actually had the cheek to say "Well who are you and why are you answering their phone"? Did I ask them to ring, no? Did I ask them to question who I was, no? Did they ask for a certain person, no? Cold callers are just rude now. Can't even be bothered to find out who they want to speak to. Idiot!

Said he was Scott from Better Energy and asked for Mrs (surname). She's not in (honestly btw) and when I told "Scott" this, he went "Oh shiiii....". It was quite obvious he was going to say "Oh sh--t" and thought better of it. If this is a real company (and going by the comments they aren't) they want to train their staff better. NOT even a "computer scam" has used that kind of language (even if I get really annoyed with them - changed that now, I just say "I don't have a computer") but if it was a real company, would you really want to speak to a company who allow their employees to come out with that language (albeit missing the end of the word - not sure what else he was going to say if it wasn't that).

They said that they were the Energy review board. Hung up on me when I said that I was fed up with them phoning me.
