Even though I've blocked this number it still gets through It rings once then hangs up, twice now already today and they've called in the past too It's getting a real joke now!
They knew my name but claimed the call was in relation to an accident I had (which I haven't). When I said I hadn't been involved in any accident they hung up. Spoke with Liverpool accent and was a complete bellend.
Yup same as everyone else. Local 01933 number but blatantly wasn't. They hung up when I answered and American voice with "Your call is important".
Seems to be a number being created to get past call screening and preventing reporting to the TPS. All the same as a above but for solar panels. they refused to give any details when they realised it would be reported
Missed the call and the only reason I called back was that it was a 'local' number 01933. As soon as I heard the American message saying my call was important and I would be put through to the next available operative I hung up.
Said he was from Government Energy Survey company and wanted to tell me about grants for renewable energy. Obviously in a call-centre from the background noise. Had Asian accent, I asked how he got my number as I am registered with TPS, he said he did not know. I only answered this because it appeared to come from the local exchange (01933). Presumably the number is spoofed to get more pick-ups. I have now blocked it.
Claiming to install solar panels. Going through a router to hide their real number. Must be a scam.
