Called about car finance claim. Lied about having been contacted by myself regarding a diesel emissions claim. Hung up when questioned about how they got my information

My number has been leaked and this number called me today. I have the option on my phone where they are asked who they are and what they want before informing me that I have a call and they hung up. I then called it back and it said this number is no longer in service.
