Definitely a scam. Information gatherer saying needed a new SIM card or be cut off. They give selves away straight away with their dreadful Asian accents.

Was telling me they were from Virgin Media and that my sim card would be blocked in a few days due to an update to their systems. They offered to send me another free of charge. The lady did sound convincing until I said I was unsure about this, then she hung up too quickly to be genuine.

This number just called me and a woman said she was calling from O2/Virgin Media. I asked how she got my number and she said ‘you are with O2?’ I said ‘no’, she said ‘ok’ and then hung up on me. Beware.
