Caller claimed to be from BT. He had a few of my personal details (easily available from anywhere). He waffled on about how my internet connection was compromised by possible hackers. I questioned several times whether he could confirm my BT account number - he couldn't. He continued to address me as the account holder which I found odd because I am not the account holder (my husband is). He said he would send me PIN number to prove he was from BT. He still wasn't interested that I wasn't the account number and wanted me to access my computer. He was obviously the potential hacker. I wound him up for a few more minutes before he finally got very frustrated and put the phone down.
