Phoned to say renewal on my warranties for washing machine, oven, fridge freezer were due and that as I have not had any claims a discount was due and he was putting me through to his line manager about the discount. As I do not have any warranties I put the phone down. I do not know what the line manager would have said but to me he would have tried to get personal info.

Caller telling me he was from Tax office and had a tax refund for me … How nice would that be if it were true … Tax office never call anyone with regards to rebates / monies owed - complete scam Why can’t these companies be found from fined and closed down! Clearly a call centre - there are clearly U.K. companies that sell telephone numbers in bulk, it shouldn’t be that hard to find the owners via tracking!
