Said they were from car phone warehouse, really pushy, really difficult to understand wanted to give me 40% discount,
As the phone rang it said the number was in Essex. But by the time Imd ignored it and checked the call register later it said the number is based in Lampeter, Wales. Reading the comments it seems this is the same Indian call centre that previously called me from somewhere else (can’t remember where) and said they were EE. I asked who I was speaking to and they promptly hung up. I’ve previously had calls listed as being from Aberdeen, somewhere abroad (can’t remember where) so they obviously have the software that allows them to fake the location of the call.
Fake O2 call - offering a random out of the blue 30% discount on my account. I’m not even with O2…
Called as I was making lunch. My phone was in the other room and rang about 4 or 5 times before they just hung up
Hung up as soon as i answered. Dirty b@#£ards
Called mobile, know no-one in Wales, number blocked
C*** called me just as my cat had been put to sleep, saying it's urgent that I speakto them. Again the O2 scam. Hope they rot in hell
Claimed to be from o2 offering a 30% discount off my bill. Before I allowed him to continue I asked him who I took the contract out with. He hung up immediately.
Scam call, also received a call from a similar number (01570 980003) so it looks like a scam call centre has bought up (or is spoofing) a bunch of lines with the same area code.
They run multiple scams. I received the O2 scam call. Requesting the code. DO NOT GIVE THE CODE. Not even O2 staff will ask for this code. I returned the call, and it went to voicemail of an energy company. Remember to query this with O2 as they knew a lot of my personal data. This has been leaked by O2.
Claimed to be from EE offering an upgrade to my contract, they didn't know the account holder name (they made a name up) and tried to rush me into "activating" some account, I asked if they could just send it and I'd do it on my own they said they'd get back to me, dodgy callers
Claiming to be from O2. Managed to keep him on the phone for 5/10 minutes…wasted his time so that he can’t scam anyone out of their money. Defo a dodgy scam from this number
Just had call from this number claiming to be from Currys UK. Asked why he was calling this number as on the mobile preference service. He carried on so asked the same question again which he then hung up. Definitely spam wanting some money!!!
Just noticed a missed call from this number. Funnily enough I had left my number registered on the john lewis website while creating an account. Never happy to do so but it was for a job application. I always wonder how long it will take before I will receive spam calls when my number is registered anywhere online.
