Pretended to be from Crown Gas & Electrical. Tried arguing with me and using the usual panic technique then hung up when I continued to argue that our account manager knows the direct line to call.
01516 790164 Scam, Scott keeps calling claiming to be from E.on and wanted to speak to the person who handles the invoices in accounts, he is very rude and persistent keeps ringing everyday and has been told not to call as we know he's a scammer he hangs up and then calls back the next day and still say's his name is Scott!! We called E.on directly and they said this number/person is not from E.on. Avoid Avoid Avoid, hang up don't give any info to him.
Again, same as the majority of messages here, pestered me to provide invoice details. Supposed to be from Pozitive Energy, but when challenged could not confirm simple details. Bad line so requested them to email which she said she would do, but they tried calling again instead . We just hung up.
They claimed they were from EDF my energy supplier and needed to check my invoicing information. They call every month. Each time I ask them not to call our number any more.
Asian man claiming to be from British Gas, asking for meter numbers etc. We are not supplied by British Gas for the property reported. I was suspicious of the call, so looked up the number to find a number of other reports of the same nature.
Often call saying they are from Octopus metering dept. Overseas Asian call centre scammers.
Claimed to be from British Gas calling about a problem with our recent bill from their meter reader due to an error with the postcode. Despite us having smart meters...
They have called several times claiming to be from British Gas and problem with the bill. Suspicious , Indian sounding lady put me through to an Indian sounding chap and I told him to email me and cut the call. They still called back but were told to go away.Definite scam.
Saying they're from British Gas and then get angry when you tell them they're not.
The caller claimed to be from EDF, asking about “accounts”, but I do not have any EDF contract at my address. The caller had a heavy Indian accent and the conversation was clearly suspicious, so I ended the call immediately.

supposedly regarding British Gas bills
They called, saying they were from Smartest Energy, to tell me they needed to check my postcode and asked for the end date of my contract. I told them to send me an email, and they hung up.
Claimed to be YU Energy. They had our post code and site number for electricity. They wanted me to check if details on our invoice match their records. Threatened that if I didn't help them I might risk being overcharged.
