01487 801982 Negative Who called me from this phone number?

Claimed to be calling from BT but only after i asked who they were. didn't say upfront. Claimed I was with BT for me internet, which I'm not. Asked who they really worked for. Line went quiet and the they hung up.

2nd time they called in the past two days. First time a female, this time a guy. Claims to be BT Open Reach regarding my internet. wanted to give me a phone number and managers name to check. Told him to bugger off and get a life before hanging up.

Distant sounding woman, soon as I heard BT , i told her she was making illegal call and put phone down.

From bt open reach talking about scam on internet . Let him woffle and suggested I ring London which he panicked at and I hung up. Very amateur!!

Been calling several times over last 2 maybe 3 weeks. Always before 9. 30 in the morning. Most times just silence when I pick up and keep saying hello... . Twice 'am i Speaking to Mrs...?' - I'm registered for no cold calling so I know any services I had would no I'm Miss - and don't have a call centre that would be silent so often. I'm not good with accents but both times I'd say an accent from the same place in asia. I've said calls are illegal. Incase anyone listening I said to stop harassing me, it makes no difference.

My 2nd call from this number. Male voice asked "How are you". I replied "Why are you asking me that? I don't know you." He hung up. I just seen to keep upsetting these people. Oh dear, what a shame.

This caller rang 2 days ago. Hung up when I answered. Maybe he'd remembered my responses?

These people are calling almost daily, trying different tacks.

BT scammer. Starts polite but if you say you won't take the call, starts shouting. I could hear him shouting as I put the phone on the desktop. He went on shouting, then after a moment or two cut off. I wish I had recorded it - these people are clearly abusers looking to intimidate.

Asked if I was Mrs ---. I agreed. He then started to explain I had problems with my computer (Red flag no.1) I asked if this would take long. His reply - "no, darling this won't take long. ???!!! (red flags nos.2,3,4,5---)I told him not to call me darling, and he got very smarmy and said he only wanted to protect my computer from hackers,love. I said not to call me love either. He then said I had to turn on my computer and follow his instructions. I said I wouldn't and he started yelling that they would disconnect all our internet connections, while I was questioning his honesty. He hung up. I think it was something I said.

called me on 9th Aug and twice today the 10th claiming to be from BT saying there is a problem with my internet, Gave himself an English name but spoke with broken English. I'm not even with BT. Said I would mention it to my son who works for BT, he hung up

Aggressive call from Mike who claimed to be from BTopenworld. Said I needed to confirm my ip address. Worrying knew my name and address

CLAIMS TO BE MIKE WILLIAMS OF BT OPENREACH ABOUT MY INTERNET SECURITY, SAID I'D CALL THEM AND THEY GAVE ME A NUMBER WHICH WAS ANSWERED AS BT. THEY THEN CALLED ME BACK AND WAS VERY AGRESSIVE INSISTING NOT A SCAM CALL. I TERMINATED THE CALL AS THEY PERSISTED AGRESSIVELY. WHY IS THIS NUMBER LIVE DOESN'T SAY MUCH FOR BT SECURITY

I kept them on phone for 8 mins then i got tol off for wasting his time told him i was fraud squad call ended fast by him🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Called saying they were BT.I knew immediately it was a scam, as I do not use BT. When I told them I knew they were scammmers they put their phone down.
