This number called today. Initially didn't say who was calling but when pressed said EE. Asked about some details about my account and how I pay. Got a bit suspicious then and refused to give the answers he wanted. Said that I could check on the EE website to check that this number was legitimate. I refused to do so and terminated the call. Looked on the EE website and cannot find this number at all - only a very expensive 09 number. Claimed he could give me a better deal - but as I am already on the best deal for my needs can't see why EE would contact me. Sounds like a bit of a scam to me.
I missed the call and tried to call the number @ 21:30 18/10/2022 and found it to be unattainable number. Called the same number @ 11:52 19/10/2022. A message informed me that it was EE that called me and EE would ring back later. Strange message as I rang them, not the other way round.
SCAMMERS also use software to have any number they wish to appear on your phone’s caller ID screen. This method, known as ‘spoofing’, means they can appear to be calling from a legitimate number linked to a person or company, when in fact they aren’t.

Constantly calling my father in law’s phone. 9 times a day. He is in care and will not now answer legitimate calls !
Tl;dr Very forceful and suspicious cold caller knew my name and number asked for transaction history claimed to be ee got very nasty when i didn't go along Said he was from ee and immediately asked me for my transactional history with ee When i said that i didn't want to give that information over he didn’t explain what he needed it for and said he allready knew the info but just wanted me to confirm it with me (also gave me a condescending definition of the word confirm) I said that he hadn’t provided me with any proof of his identity as a ee worker he tried to play off the fact he had my name and number as proof he was from ee. i pointed out 90% cold callers have this info He immediately said if i wont hand over the info then he would end the call (and then did)
Repetitive and wearisome. I like PAYG where your every movement cannot be tracked and your bank account hacked
Been getting several calls from them every day, no voicemails or follow up messages lest. Suspect spam marketing calls
I have been using my phone number for about 6 months with out any problems but for some reason in this laqst week I have had 2 fake callers. Looks like I may need to change my number again.
