Woman claiming to be from refund. We've overpaid our washing machine warranty by £190! They want to refund us, so which account do we want the money paid into? When I said if we'd paid by direct debit, they already have our details. She was persistent, until I said to go to her accounts department and get a cheque drawn and send to us. That's when she put the phone down on me!

Very polite woman. You have a £900 overdraft. Action required. Ring me. This is a previously known fraud.
Yes I had homecare recently call saying I could get fridge insurance and kept asking my bank sort code and “membership account number”?? They got aggressive when I said I worked in a bank and that this information is confidential, telling me I don’t know my job. My argument was if it isn’t confidential how come it’s not something you are able to search for?? They wanted it to set up direct debit, even though I didn’t want it, god knows how much they would have taken out
I had this too, when I played along even though I don’t have virgin, I pretended to not have mobile or working laptop , and asked them to fix the problem from where they were. Had another call stating thousand pound to be taken from international transfer and to speak to advisor, few days ago a call from home safe insurance to insure my fridge, they got arsey when I said I wouldn’t give my bank sort code and “membership account number” ??? Telling me aggressively this was not confidential information, then hang up when I refused to give it. Scamming %#%** I called BT to change my number and ensure ex directory

Indian call centre, big pause after answering, said my internet was fluctuating, and they were there to help. Now, I've got an engineer coming out to upgrade to full fibre, so I interrupted their little script, and said if you really are from BT, you'll know what day the engineer is booked in for. And they hung up! I was so shocked that a scam called from india would do that. NOT.
Just had a call off this number. Woman said “Am I speaking to Mrs Drover (not my name) I said No and she hung up - perhaps even if they get my name right next time I’ll say No and see if that works too.
Asian lady called me stating she was from Homecare and I'd been overcharged £119 and they needed me to provide the current account number and sort code or savings account details. When I challenged this she transferred me to another agent who was male and said the same thing, kept repeating themselves that they are covered by GDPR and do not have my details to transfer the money to. I stated I was well aware of GDPR and as I work in same industry would never ask for this information for a refund !!! I asked to speak to a manager who agin repeated the same info and when I again challenged him he hung up. None of them liked the idea that I advised people are always being warned about giving these details over the phone
Female caller, said she was from the refund department as I has mistakenly been overcharged on my washing machine warranty over two years ago. Needed my bank details to refund me £112.00!! I think I would have queried at the time if I had overpaid that sort of amount, plus never ever bought a warranty for anything!!

Said I’d be happy to pop round with my rather large male friend for a friendly chat to sort out the issue with my virgin account as I’d have sleepless nights worrying otherwise. I’d have to bring my dog as he can’t be left alone but he does get over excited at meeting new people. Can’t think why they hung up on me, quite fancied a chat….😎
Asian sounding man called today from a refund department of a company whose name i couldn't understand. Said he wanted to refund £119 as they had overcharged me on washing machine warranty. We don't have and never have had such a warranty. So I said " I suppose you want my bank details now to refund the money? " He said no he didn't need my bank details but I could have money refunded to my current account account. " How will you do that if you don't know my account details" I asked. Followed by slinence at which point I put the phone down.
