Foreign man & hard to understand. Asked if I was Mrs ?(couldn't understand what he said) I asked who he was & he said he was calling about my boiler & asked if it was working well & that I had free maintenance & call outs. I said our boiler had been in 15 years & my husband installed it & we had no cover on it. He asked if my postcode was CA7 4PL ??? ???, when I told him that was incorrect he put the phone down. SCAM! Blocked number.

Asian lady called quoted my name and said she was from British Gas and about my service contract asked if boiler was ok. Said you should know you have only just serviced it. Asked her to tell me the date serviced to prove to me they were from British Gas. Caller hung up. Scam

Called me at 8.35 am. Asked me to confirm name and address. Said they were from British Gas. Had a very strong foreign (probably Asian) accent so difficult to understand. Apparently trying to get me on to a maintenance contract - I already have one. I was asked make and age of boiler - something they should know as they fitted it. In the end I insisted they contacted me by email and they hung up. I telephoned British Gas who confirmed they had not called and that the call was most likely a scam

Asian male who said he was from British Gas to give me a great deal on my service contract. Asked me what make of boiler I had, when I replied you should know as you installed it and I have a contract with you he said he could only locate it if I gave him my bank sort code to link my direct debit. When I challenged him and said no way he put the phone down.

Obviously a call centre. Asian female voice. Knew my wife's name. Put phone down.

First of all called me Mrs Bruce Harris, when I pointed out Bruce was my late husband that has been dead 3 years she just continued and called me Mrs Harris. I asked who she was and was told it was British Gas about the service on my boiler. Told her to go away!

Called to do a survey " that will only take 5 minutes of your time" said no thank you and blocked

Missed call- no message left
