Strong far-Asian accented lady called, which is fine, but suggested to me she was calling from outside the UK. She started talking about Sky (telecom company). I couldn't understand exactly what she asked. I replied I don't used Sky. She also mentioned Vodafone. It was obviously a sales call to migrate away from my current provider, but she didn't know which provider I currently use. So I asked her if she had heard of the Telephone Preference Service (TPS). She hadn't. I asked her if she was in the UK. She answered yes. I said if she was in the UK then (before calling me) my telephone number should have been used to scan the TPS database. If my number was on the TPS database (which it has been for many years) then by calling me, whilst being in the UK, she was breaking UK Law. She ended the call. I've marked it as Scam/Fraud as she/her employer was probably breaking UK law by not using the TPS whilst saying she was in the UK. If she was not in the UK then she lied.
