Call received claiming to be from energy company asking if home owner I said who is calling stupidly gave my name then hung up

This number just called. Only answered as I am in the 01376 area and there was a pause after I said hello a couple of times. He said he was an energy advisor and assumed I was the home owner, I said no I am not and he said ok thank you for your time and hung up...

Had a robo-dialer then clicked through to the "energy adviser for my area.

Just had this call. Not sure if a recording or not, but he said he had be down as the property owner. I said it was a big assumption seeing as he only heard my voice. After a pause the almost identical question came. To which I replied "yes, what's my name". Call got cut off.

Claimed government funds available for loft insulation replacement and offering a survey. When an answer to a question was delayed, exact same question asked. Clever things robots!

As previous comments - disconnected when I asked who he was and why he was calling uninvited.

I actually live in the 01376 area so thought it might be a real call - it's going to happen one day! - but silence for a few seconds and then disconnected. I fear answering it will have opened the floodgates to even more scam callers.

Short delay typical of an auto-dialler. Then a male voice claimed to be an "energy advisor" for my post code (without knowing my post code) and asked me if I am the householder. I asked, "who are you and what do you want?" and he immediately disconnected.
