I did exactly the same as you. If I don't recognise the number and it is not assigned to a contact on my phone then I let it go to voicemail. I explain briefly on voicemail that I don't answer unrecognised numbers but will return genuine callers if they care to leave a message. Most don't!

My mobile automatically blocks it as suspected spam...and it is right according to comments
Local energy advisor. This is about the 90th call I have had off them. Always from a different number and they are apparently always my local energy advisor. Scam call and there are only so many numbers you can block
I don't know anyone in Crediton so didn't answer. No messeage left on voicemail so I presume was scam.

Delay on line - then sounds like Hello is being repeated
