Indian man call centre told me he was calling from virgin media and there had been illegal activity coming from my router over past 2 days so he needed to know what colour the light on my router was. Told him I knew he was a scammer as why would virgin media call me? he said 'Who told you that Ma'am? We are not scammers we are vigin media technical services etc...' Told him my computer was off, told me to turn it on, I said why would virgin m call me etc? He said same spiel and I said 'But Im not with virgin media'- he hung up. I missed 7 calls from this number over a 2 day period so they are persistant. Hope I wasted his time.
Called early on 24th March. Took a while to say anything then a foreign voice said they were from Virgin Media & wanted to talk about my broadband. Well that would of been difficult as I'm not with Virgin. When I mentioned this, she hung up. How rude haha
Asian woman reading a script poorly stating she was calling from Virgin Media. I said I would call Virgin Media back and she hung up.
*****SUSPECT FRAUD RELATED ***** They called me 22Feb 2022 today. A foreign accented lady called and said they were calling from ****Virgin Media***** to advise me that there is a security issue with my broadband. They said they have my details as they are my broadband provider. They kept calling me ma'm and didn't confirm my details. Virgin do not call from his number, I have been a customer of Virgin 2 years ago. When I said 'but I'm with BT', she immediately hung up. Beware everyone!!!
