I too have received a text purporting to be from Lloyd’s/Halifax in exactly the same format as detailed above. As I do have an account with one of those organisations it caused me a moment’s concern. However sanity prevailed and the text is now reported and deleted.

This number is quoted in scam text I just received as the number to call ‘Lloyds/Halifax’ on to deal with a ‘fraud’. The message read: LIoyds/HaIifax: Your card was used on 10/11/25 at 16:40 for 1099.98 to SHElN which we've now bIocked. RepIy Y if RECOGNlSED or caIl us on 0133 049 2695 lMMEDlATELY I do not hold any account with Lloyds or Halifax, and a search does not connect this number with a bank
