Same as the other reports - pretends to be O2 |Virgin Media tells me that my SIM has to be replaced - then tells me I am being transfered to the technical team.... at which point I exited the call...
They said they are from O2 and asked my email address. They are probably trying to hack gmail accounts.
'Mary' told me I needed a new SIM card as the Virgin Media and O2 merger meant my O2 SIM was going to be blocked in 2 days...and the new SIM card would give me 'Super 5G' and they would send it to me for 'free' Funny, as Virgin Media's own website says no one's SIMs etc will be effected...
Didn't answer as came up on my phone as a scam
claimed to be from 02 saying i owed money for my contract. Told them I am pay as you go with Tesco Mobile, then started saying they was from T mobile and i owed money, needed my bank information and password, confirm who I am with my mothers maiden name. Obvious scam is obvious
