My computer got frozen with big alerts, claimed to be from Microsoft and gave this number to call! Once I search the number and realised it was a scam a switch from the mains, when switched back on worked just fine. Did a security scan just in case , no viruses found. B...tards!
My computer is now locked. I cannot access anything on it. Obviously, I will not call the 'fraud line' on 01224 980361. Any ideas are welcome.
Same here, my techie says just turn computer off and on again and it clears the pop up. Seems to have worked.
Claimed to be Microsoft Security Services. Locked my computer. Claimed Windows Defender Warning Alert System found spyware. Says don’t switch off. I noticed the https in the lower bottom of screen. Didn’t say Microsoft soo pulled the plug on my pc. It re booted from the lock out and did a smart scan on my Norton membership. No Trojan virus found. No virus found and no damage. This number must be a scam. Be careful. Don’t ring.
Message appeared on my computer and wouldn't go away. Finally turned it off and on again and so far its ok
