0113 419 9980 Neutral Who called me from this phone number?

Company called about my life insurance. They had no details about me and were not a company I have dealt with. Chap got a bit offended when I refused to participate. Number should be banned from dialling out really.

Unsolicited call from 0113 419 9980 Leeds, England (this is what was displayed on my cell phone screen). The caller had my name but oddly asked for Miss Laura and didn't use a surname. She asked me to confirm my name and what life assurance policies I had and when I interjected to ask who she was she claimed to be calling from "a company offering unbiased assessments of life assurance policies" to "help me decide if I wanted to keep my policy, reduce my monthly premium or increase the my level of cover". She wouldn't give a specific company name. I didn't confirm any details and asked to be removed from the database she said she was accessing at which point she hung up on me. Blocked the caller as best guess is it was either a phishing exercise or unwanted marketing/sales.

Cold call. Pain in the whatsit!!

What a bunch of assholes !!!!! Don't answer them, all I got was told to F off when they didn't get what they wanted after pretending to be Zurich for an annual life insurance review, funny seeing that my insurance is only 3 months old :/ don't give them the time of day and don't be polite they won't be to you if you don't give them what they want, 19 calls later I'm callling the police and reporting harassment now

Message saying they were calling about my life insurance as its due for renewal. I explained it can't be as I don't have it, only with work. They asked if I was sure, I told them yes and I was at work so couldn't talk. they tried to keep me on the line so in the end I out the phone down on them.

Calling to offer me a review of my life insurance as it was due for renewal. When asked who my insurance was with and when it was up, tried to avoid the question saying they're not providers, I pressed the point they admitted the didn't know as I started telling them to take me off their dialing list they hung up on me..... how rude 😈

Cold called this afternoon. As I did not recognise the number I did not answer.

I've just received a telephone call from this number - a Welsh girl asking to do a survey about my finances as she can get me cheaper life cover.. After I said I don't have life cover she then changed the offer to mortgage cover??? Couldn't say which Insurance company gave her my details... Where on earth do these companies get our details from??

Got a call today, had my name said she was from a company Life Review, stated law had changed and they were reviewing my life insurance but they had no other details she then started to ask questions about my health which i was not prepared to answer.

Got a call today and they had my name and spoke it straightaway. They said they were calling about my life insurance. As soon as I questioned them, they hung straight up. Definite scam here! Have blocked them on my phone.

Just had a call from this number.. Someone going on about an accident and how they would send me some cheque for a min of £2000 for an accident that happend last year? So confused!!

Call comes from leeds Calling about a life insurance policy or if i have enquired about taking one out. No and no. Actually very polite for a change. Told me he would take me offthe mailing list but i shan't hold my breath!!

Called me saying they were from 'Life Review' and wanted to talk to me about renewing my life insurance policy. They had no details of any policy held and wanted to act as an 'unbiased' service to help me renew. Pure spam - avoid.

Had a missed call from this number - having read the comments here, I might answer next time they call and keep saying "Pardon? Sorry? Can you speak up please? I can't hear you." :-)

Called telling me my personal insurance was due for review and said they were involved with prudential, lol! They started to ask questions about my policy but i said you must already have them on your screen but they said they have no information. I said why are you asking for my personal information, you should have it already. Told them my policy was in order and not to contact me again Number blocked.

Got a call from this number tonight. Welsh accent, male calling from "Life Review" asking when did I last review my life insurance. I asked what policy they were talking about & he stated "we work on behalf of Aviva, Scottish Widows & Legal & General" I asked when I took the policy out & I might be able to answer question to be told "we don't hold policy details here". He asked why I took out the policy & I said I couldn't answer as I didn't know what policy he was talking about & anyway I had a financial advisor. Either he was building up to a sales pitch (likely from previous reports) or I was worried he was phishing for personal details.

Got a call from this number today "Anthony from Life Review" told me I need to review my life insurance policy. I said please take me off the call distribution list, I do not have any policy with you. He got aggresive and kept saying, you need to review your policy as you haven't done so in 18 months. I shouted, take me of the call list now, do not call me again, he just carried on. Ended the call and blocked the number.

Was told that they were reviewing my life insurance policy. The guy kept calling me Maria. I asked him to tell me about my policy (I don't have any). He said he didn't know about it, but would pass me onto a rep who could help me review it. Guy sounded stuffed up with a cold, or like he'd been drinking. I asked for his HQ details. He gave me info which was for a hotel in Swansea. He said he'd only beed working for the company for 3 days, and wasn't sure who they were.

Women with a cold, asks for me, I asked "who she was" and she said she was from "express legal Service". "what's this call about" I said in my rough voice . She hung up.

0113 419 2316 Leeds, England they're a scam they had my name and address that they got somehow and tried ages convincing me I had a road collision with someone which never happened

My phone got cracked three days ago. Today got calls from this number, which did not answered, but somehow my mobile start sending messages to it. Not only scam, but also malware associated with this number

Sick to the back teeth of this number calling. Luckily I've got caller display on my land line so don't answer but now they've started calling my mobile 2 or 3 times a day. Is there nothing that can be done to stop these nuisance calls? I'm already on TPS on my land line but it doesn't stop these and international calls coming through

I got a call from them asking for mr Ledbetter. I've never known anyone called Ledbetter before in my life. I think they are doing it to annoy me because on several occasions they are laughing when they ask for mr Ledbetter and hang up when I say this isn't his number. I called back and an automated system said it was the national advice service. I'm getting really fed up with this now. I get a phone call at least once a day from these people and each time I ask them to take my number off their system and each time they say they will.

Just received a call on mobile female voice, sounds if she is talking to a colleague then puts phone down....pests.

Luckily had left mobile indoors this time but have had previous nuisance/cold/scam calls from this and may other numbers. These callers MUST be stopped!

i keep getting called by this number and don't recognise it? I think they have tried to call me 4 times today.

Had 2 calls one on my mobile & one on land line saying they from industrial deafness advice centre............they are touting for business & told them not to call again!!!! very politely of course NOT!!

i am getting absolutely brassed off with receiving calls from this number to my mobile, i havent answered when they have called but have rung the number back and all i get is a voice message saying its the National Advice line and give me a number to call if i want to speak to someone, that number is 01157629990 so anyone else who receives a call, ignore them

Got call from this number...knew my full name. When I confirmed it was me he said arrgghhhhhhhh ha ha ha ha and then hung up!!!!!!!

Just got a call from this number. The first (and only) thing I heard as I picked up the phone was someone saying "Oh, for f$cks sake..." Put the phone down.

I've had a call from this number at the same time every week for about 3 weeks now. I was asked about when I worked in industry but told them their data was wrong. I asked politely to be taken off whatever spam list they were currently using and hung up. Number is now blocked but logs the call. why is there no legislation to stop us being harrased. Surely the telcos should be forced to give us the ability to completely block and report these bad people?

Got called by this number the other day, told the guy to take my name of his list and not to call me again and hung up. Got called again by the same douche-bag today from a witheld number today, claiming to be from First Response, asked for me by name, and when I said not to call me again, he got hostile on the phone. I returned in kind and called him a male chicken. If I get called again by this guy, will be looking at logging a complaint with the old bill for harassment.

missed call from this number about an hour ago.... they've rung me before and said according to their records I'd done 'industrial' (ie factory) work and they were offering me a free hearing test..... Told them their records were wrong and I told them then to go away then but it hasn't stopped them calling again!

Just had a call from this number, all I got was a flaky hello the the line went dead. These companies are just pains in the buttocks.

A woman called 'Anne' said they were calling from my home town, when I pointed out that the number wasn't my home town's area code, and that she deffo hadn't a local accent, she got all flakey and put the phone down on me.. Said they were a Advice Center, but would't elaborate when I asked for more details.. Blocked!!

This number called me twice in 1 hour - I didn't answer either call but googled the number and found this website. Obviously, cold/scam call. Now BLOCKED.

Got a call from this number; I usually wait for them to say who they are before speaking. This time a male operator checked my name and when I answered yes without thinking too much about it, other than another cold caller touting for business, expecting him to launch into explanation, line went dead... I wont be answering the phone from this lot again and will block the number in any case.

3 calls from this number saying their records show I worked in a factory or industry. I'm a nurse. They also said they were calling from luton but not a luton number. Now blocked.

I've had numerous calls from this number but as I won't answer if I don't know the number I've never spoken to anyone. I've blocked the number on my iPhone but that still allows the call but goes straight to voicemail instead. On tues I had 9 calls from them

Cold call from this number claiming to be National Advice Line. I asked if they were calling about Pensions, PPI or something wrong with my computer and shock horror line went quiet and they hung up. Scam

One of these jokers rung me on my mobile saying he was from the National Advice Centre and wanted to confirm my details. I asked them what this Centre was but he ignored me so I asked again. Then he went into a story about measuring high and low frequency hearing loss - my guess is that they're just another firm of ambulance chasers ripping off both sides in bogus disputes involving industrial or mining induced deafness. Makes a change from whiplash injuries, I suppose. Told him I wasn't interested and blocked the number on my phone. They knew I had worked in manufacturing industry so they had probably harvested details on my ex-employers from Linkedin or Facebook and matched this somehow with a record of my mobile number. Scum.

Northern lass with a cold rang me asking about hearing and industry. I worked in IT and dont suffer from hearing loss. she put the phone down. Planks ... obviously a scam or fishing for business.
