Call started with a message that the call was being recorded. Then a guy states he is from the Argos fraud team stating that someone had tried to make a transaction to Argos from Aberdeen, he knew my name and postcode and stated that this was why it had been flagged up. I clarified where he was calling from and again said Argos, I asked where he had got my number from and he stated his system, I asked why it would be Argos ringing me and not my bank if someone was trying to make a unauthorised payment, he stated it was part of their training, I asked why if he was training were my details flagged up and stated that this call was a scam, he tried to reassure me it wasn’t to which I told him to get a real job and stop trying to scam people for money.
