NOT a scam, the number is listed on a legitimate letter from Lloyds.
Looks legit. Confirmed by Lloyds on Twitter verified account. A Google search also brings Lloyds up.
Whose number is this +44 808 145 0371? Got a text from allegedly LloydsBank (probably a scam) saying "Please call us on 08081450371 about your bank account ending . Thank you."
Had a text on my brand new phone number telling me I was about to go into my arranged overdraft and fees would be likely. Odd thing is the number was only 12 hours old so no chance to update the contacts in my profile.............(old phone number had been disconnected due to nuisance calls) Also, oddly, I don't even have a Lloyds Account, the only thing I can think is some Lloyds customer has updated his profile with my number. OR It's a Scam............ Of course I tested the number and seemed to be connecting to a legitimate banking service but was stumped when I had to provide details about my account (which doesn't even exist), starting with my D.O.B. - I hung up.......
Had a message from Lloyds, called the number on the back of the card and it was verified to be a genuine number
It is Lloyd's bank nothing scamming about it
Anyone claiming this is genuine is themselves a scammer. I called the number on the back of my card and related the details of the text. Most definitely a scam and NOT a genuine text, despite it appearing on my Banks text service. Do not call the number, do not respond IT IS A SCAM.
I had a message today saying: "Please call us on 0808 145 0371 about your bank account ending 2838. Thank you." I called another number for Lloyds first, and they confirmed it was genuine. So I called the number above and it was Lloyds. I was £6 overdrawn. All sorted now. It is a genuine number.
it is going around again, skill fraudlant
I just called the number, didn't trust it, so i didn't give details. I called Lloyds on a number i know is real and spoke to them. They confirmed it was a genuine number from the collections department but couldn't understand why i had a message. Response to Niall - All banks will ask for your details as they don't know who is calling. It is not a specific number for you to call on. Even the genuine number asked for my details. If your unsure, don't call the number, call the main switchboard and speak to them and let them have a look at your account. That way if it is something wrong they can tell you.
Can't be lloyds.. First thing it asked me was to enter in my Bank Account number. Clearly NOT Lloyd. If anyone thinks it is, and has typed in their details then they are being rinsed of their cash. NOW.
This is a Lloyds bank number, I took the advice of this page and ignored it thinking it was a scam text. Then I received a letter in the post from Lloyds saying they had tried to contact me and to call them on the same number. By this point I had been overdrawn for 8 days which cost me £80. Never trusting people on here again.
Tried to scamm extra late payments for overdraft. Informed the police lloyds bank and they are now monitored. Take care with them they will steal legally your money and identity
This number IS Lloyds bank. They were verying mylast 5 transactions as I had spent more than usual in a different area, and they were confirming it was in fact me and that my card hadn't been stolen.
This number keeps txt in me to contact my bank lloyds
Got a random text that appears under the LloydsBank ID saying "Please call us on 08081450371 about your bank account. Thank you." I immediately checked my accounts and nothing was wrong. My personal philosophy is unless there is obvious fraud on your accounts, or you are not in debt to the bank, there is no reason for them to contact you unless they are selling you something - probably a loan or credit cards.
Got a text from allegedly LloydsBank (probably a scam) saying "Please call us on 08081450371 about your bank account. Thank you." Err, no thanks!
I keep getting text from 0808 145 0371 to call my bank
Got a text allegedly from Lloyds bank asking me to call...
The above number is a scam number. I have received a few on my banks text service telling me to ring them as my bank wants to talk to me. When I ring my bank, (not on the above number) they tell me they do not know the number and do not require to talk to me
