Rang TT to fix mobile problem...got through twice and on both occasions line went dead mid-conversation. Third time line went dead after "please hold while we look into it". However they must have fixed something because mobile now ok. Then came call from ...5544 which went dead as I answered it. It is not the number I originally rang with my problem.
Rang 4 times at 1659 UK time and cut off. Did not dial number or checked with Talk Talk. Am but shortly will not be a Talk Talk customer after almost 16 years incl previous companies Talk Talk took over. Be careful. Contact Talk Talk directly with correct numbers you have.
Rang my mobile but I didn’t get to answer in time. Rang back but no answer. Now checking see it fits other callers comments.
During 2022 I lost both my Talktalk Broadband and Landline simultaneously (which was restored after being identified as outside fault with Openreach). I used an old pay-as-you-go voice & text only mobile on a sim card by another company as my only means of contacting Talktalk Tech support during this period. Since then I have been receiving frequent calls from 08009555544, which hangs up when the Voicemail kicks in. I contacted Talktalk on their usual number, who confirmed that they had NOT tried to contact me via this mobile number since the original fault, and to ignore the calls. I suspect someone at their India based Call Centre is making unauthorised calls on the 0800 number for possible fraud/phishing, or have leaked my old mobile number to scammers. They are still ringing in February 2023 and either hang up when Voice Messaging answers, or I cancel the call. Suspicious to say the least.
This number called my husband's mobile. He tried to ring back on the house phone, and now our phone cannot be used. A message appears on the screen saying Check phone line, and we cannot get a dialing tone, therefore we are unable to make or receive any calls.

Phone rang twice then cut off. No message left. If it's important they can ring back.
Called this morning but an answering hung up. Without answering. Dialling the number call said it was TalkTalk and sorry they missed the call but would ring back later
Answered to this number and there was a scream on the other end. Then they hung up. Very odd
Do not dial back because they don't answer when you first pick up
Got a call from this number said they were from talktalk her name was Miranda said she wanted to check my account I said not at the minute as I was busy didn't say she would call again had an Southern Irish accent
Said it was from Talk talk Strange called twice said they would call back Trying to get TalkTalk to fix a fault missed same number but only one attempt after missed call
Received a call from this number and before i could answer it, it cut off after 4 rings, i have researched this number and getting mixed reactions to whom it belongs to, some say its TalkTalk and some saying it's a scam, i did not phone back, i always research numbers i do not recognize if a name does not come up, so do be careful people.
Kept calling my mobile. Spoof Talktalk call offering me a free upgrade (I am a Talktalk customer) was immediately suspicious as Talktalk never call me and they all have strong Indian accents, this guy was English. Said I didn't believe he was from Talktalk and I hung up. Then I called the Talktalk main number in India and they denied anyone had called me. If you call the 0800 9555544 number back you get a recording saying you were called by the Talktalk group ! Apparently the lowlifes can 'spoof' legitimate numbers now... Be vigilant !
I missed this call, but no message was left.
Talk Talk .wanted to upgrade my broadband .I rang the number and it confirmed this
I have just received a call from this number, that hung up when I answered
The phone rang twice then it stopped before I got to it!!! Did not even leave a message so could not have been important or was it a scammer?
