0800 952 4874 Neutral Who called me from this phone number?

Had a call if them so I answered, It was some English bloke saying he was from O2 Then asked what provider I was (which I though was odd because he would of known I was with O2?) So I said "O2" But I gave him no information, yet he knew me and my partner both had galaxy s5's on contract, and how long we'd had our contracts for, and out names as the shop we took out our contracts, just rang to tell me about offers as upgrades. I said "no thank you" And he said "okay no problem, if you want to know more go on the O2 website, have a nice day" He was pleasant, didn't seem TOO dodgy. But oh well, Just think most people these days assume they are getting robbed.. Companies sell mobile numbers all the time to other companies, I genuinely just believe he was calling from some kind of O2 based company. Even though he asked what my provider was (he should of known) I didn't even have to give him any number, before he told me iformation only O2 would know..

Have been repeteadly calling & when I pick up, there is no reply

Phoned me three times in one day and i didn't pick at first, when I did I answered with 'Hello Amy speaking' as I use this number for work and they immediately put the phone down! On looking on O2 twitter past comments have suggested it was a genuine O2 number but then why would they put the phone down?

From the type of conversations people have had and the messages posted, I think they're an outsourced branch, not O2 in-house. There are lots of different smaller companies that will handle O2's and other companies services and customers, not just O2. Source: I've worked for a couple of those companies

Didn't even know what phone I have!! Said I was using a Samsung... The only phone I have had from 02 is an iPhone! At that point I put the phone down!! Scammers !!!

Just spoke to o2 and they said this number is NOT affiliated with o2. Don't give them any personal information whatsoever!!

Said they were from O2 offering me discounts on pay as you go sims. He confirmed my name and my make of phone. I said I would think about the offers and he said that was fine for me to think about and would arrange a call back the next day.... Not sure if I will answer next time though.

Received call from this number, had wrong name, claimed to be 02 to offer phone only deals for new phones and tablets. When asked if I could view offers in store told no. On checking comments below call was not from 02. Do not buy anything over the phone or disclose any personal details who you do not know. Merry Christmas

It'd called me 3 times today, really annoying. I haven't picked up the phone.

These guys are now calling me every day! Really annoying! I never answer a caller ID that I do not recognise. Sounds like that is a good strategy!!!!

they have been ringing me at least every 1 hour for the past 3 days but after looking on here I will take everyone's advice and still avoid answering/block

They never give up. I feel like leaving o2. Really pissing me off.

Heard lots of laughing and started going on about budweisers. Prank caller.

keeps calling me every day at all hours never leaves a message. I feel harassed. I want it stopped.

Yeah, rang me to but i missed the call- avoid at all costs as they are probably trying to get info to pass onto 3rd parties.

Hounds constant phone calls pushing to get your bank details from you. They would never ask you if they were ligit they would say key in your personal details. I even heard a money counter I the background once. Save this number as scam so you know not to answer. Hope this helps.

caller stated that they were from o2, my network provider. I am with o2 but after reading comments on here I told them I wasn't. Caller said OK I will take u off our list. Surely o2 wud no that I am a customer!!!

Blocked them. Don't know who it is but blocked them anyway

I have been on to o2 Help/chat. The advisor told me that this number is definitely NOT an o2 line and NOT to give them any information about yourself or account to them. My advisor put a block on the number immediately for me. I hope this helps and stops anyone getting ripped off?

O2 ringing to do a survey, told them I didn't have time to do one last Monday, ringing once a day since. Very annoying!!
