She said she is calling from a O2 Mobile. I replied “oh it’s a scam, no thanks.” She hung up.
Asian man called Jack Smith(!) supposedly calling from 02 offering 1/2 price discount, clearly not 02 but could appear plausible as called from 0800 no. Definitely a scam do not give them your details.
08003685482 Scam! Man with an accent I couldn’t understand at all at first! After the 5th attempt it went something like…EE £30 a month for new IPhone 14, unlimited calls, texts and free insurance. Really?! (These scammers don’t normally get any chance to speak much at all, but I’m waiting for my 17yr old daughter to get out the shower, so have plenty of spare time) This guy wouldn’t have that he’s a scammer! So instead of giving my details, which he was quite insistent on, I asked for his full name, bank account, DOB and any extras one could use for legitimate purposes. Ascertained he is living in Pakistan, called Ali and claims he gets paid in cash monthly. A big company like EE paying staff cash in hand monthly……again, really?! Ali wanted desperately to send a confirmation email of the offer, but of course, I gave him nothing but 13 mins of my time attempting to convince him in the error of his ways. Unfortunately I’m pretty sure it fell on a deaf scammers ears and he’ll be targeting some other UK citizen very soon. Sorry folks, I tried! (Reported to action fraud)
I thought these numbers were a scam cos they kept calling I don't answer numbers I don't recognise but thought I'd look it up just in case I was being over cautious. Apparently I wasn't

A lady claiming to be from EE offered me an iPhone contract. It's definitely a scam because I received this call a few hours after I blocked calls from another number where a lady offered me the same thing!
This no called me said from EE and they could do me a great deal on a contract better than my current contract. I pointed out i was already a EE customer they hung up. Obviously a scam.
Free phone number. Woman offered promotion to EE customers. I'm not an EE customer and asked how she got my number. She hung up.
Lady just called apparently from EE offering me 15% off my contract. I said no thank you and we hung up.
Scammer - called saying they are from EE, I hung up, they then called 1 hour later saying they were from three. When I questioned this she hung up on me! Reported.
