I answered this as I was expecting a phone call from a work colleague. The lady asked for me by my first name, so I was half expecting it to be someone I knew but no, she said she was from Go Compare and asked if I had sorted out the query I had with life insurance. I hadn't made any such query! This got me irate as I felt it was particularly sneaky of them! I told her not to ring me back. Let's see if she listens!
I answered my home phone to have a young girl ask if I was a certain named lady or gentlemen. I said no, and asked where she was calling from. She got angry and said it was a private call. I said that it could not be as I could here all the normal background sounds associated with call centres. She was still being angry and aggressive. If she was selling insurance, she had a funny way of going about it. I tried to ring the number back, and of course nothing. So they don't like unwanted callers!! Well neither do I.
To Steve , Your phone number is on the automatic dialer anyway. They are polite unless your rude to them , it's for life insurance like already said and say no but you'll get "okay any reason for that" so they when the managers listen to the call recordings they know why you don't want it like a mini survey!? They're just simply doing their job dick head be fair to them , at least they aren't scrounging off the state and are trying to earn money even if you don't give them the time of day they are simply trying to help you with a valid financial product that helps to pay for your funeral or mortgage for when you pass away ? So you don't leave your family it debt! That's fair enough isn't it ? And FYI they aren't sales consultants your speaking to at all . These are the people that sift threw the data to find out who actually wants the product . Think how many people in the UK all they have to do is go onto google and look at a quote it's because they have put their phone number in and not ticked the little box at the bottom of the screen that says "tick this box if you do not wish to receive any further calls " simple really isn't it , but I bet you didn't did you? Or on Facebook and you've clicked a banned ad for life insurance quotes ? That's how they get your phone numbers people in future just be more Internet smart ???
This number has been calling me for about two months now, any hours - when I answer and say hello, they hang up. Have tried calling them back but just get either engaged or unavailable dial tone. Now, I either let them ring off or answer and not say anything. They called today, i didn't say anything for about 90 seconds. Could just about hear voices talking in the background and someone say omg you called a mobile!
Mike, If these are such nice honest people, why do they get abusive if you say "no" to them, and then they add you to an autodialler to call you over and over again out of spite. I am guessing that Mike works for these people. All these people complaining on this site can't be lying. These so called sales people are only doing themselves out of a living, because thanks to sites like this, word does get around. Why cant they just accept "no" and then move onto the next potential customer? As a result of looking the number up on this site (as i've just had a missed call) Ive added them as a contact and set it to auto reject without even neededing to take a call from them.
This number has been calling me twice a day for over two months.
All these comments are ridiculous. The only reason you're being called is because at some point you expressed interest in getting a quote for life insurance. If you gave them the time of day and actually listened to them you'd realise they're trying to help you, not con you. I had cover with my bank and thought I was getting the right deal, I had a call from this company and yes I was suspicious at first but I gave them a chance, turns out they managed to save me nearly 40% on my insurance plus a bigger payout. Its the bank's that can't be trusted, they work with one provider and get you the worst deal. I suggest all of you think twice before fobbing these people off when all they're trying to do is make an honest living, and are really nice people.
Asked to speak to 'Zena' - told him not on this number & he said 'thanks for your time' & hung up.
life cover review, still calls after i told them i was happy with the cover i have,
Has called landline several times this week. Follows use of Go Compare for contents insurance. Rings 4 times then stops. I don't answer unrecognised numbers anyway but leave them to go to answerphone. Won't be putting real phone number in the comparison sites in future! Had enough of PPI and new boiler deals, now this.
Constantly calls at all times
this number called me, but when I called the number back I got a message saying "this number has not been recognized please check and try again"
Call me frequently on an hourly basis. Reduces me to tears, so much so I sit in the corner of my office, eating chips, frozen out the bag most lunch times. Stop Calling ME! This one time whilst on an evening jog, I got so distracted whilst thinking about it, I ran to Windsor.. #07553975966 #nowineedlifeinsurance #irony
They are life insurance people , just calling as you've made an online inquiry. Lovely people if you just simply ask to be removed they will do that for you , dont understand why people are so mean to these people they are just doing their job?
It's not a scam it's life insurance. It's a valid financial product, if you dont wish to receive calls just tell them just say. I had a very helpful man discuss various products with me.
