They sent a tex and I answered yes why would they need to contact me after that, I'm not having any more communication with whoever it is, I just feel I should not have answered at all, and if it is British gas then they should inform us before hand that they are using outside agencies, I feel British gas are taking liberties , they no people are being scammed and are very aware So if this is British Gas chase me.

3rd text message say my smart meter needs checking and book appointment with me from private telephone number there’s nothing on there about British gas no email from my opinion this is fraud or scamming. Just ignore it. I’ve had nothing from the British Gas accounts to say this is them.

Text saying they are from British Gas and to reply 'yes.' Seems unlikely that they are from BG as why would they be using a personal mobile number? Previous genuine texts I have received from British Gas say they are from BG Energy. I do not trust this number despite the review which says it is legit. They could have done that themselves.
