Bad line and poor English but said they were calling from Sky TV and then within a few seconds the line went dead. Some online reports say this is likely an automated voice checking whether a mobile number is real / whether someone picks up even when unknown callers contact them…I was expecting a call from a Volvo dealer I’d like a message with moments before. It’s a stark reminder to never pick up…

They claimed to be setting up my AI portfolio following an email that I had supposedly sent earlier that day.

They claimed to be from Sky…. Who I am with….. but because they’re English was so poor and I couldn’t say hear what they were saying… I said sorry I don’t believe this is a genuine call from Sky and I hung up and blocked them

I didn't answer. They did not leave a voicemail. I have now blocked the number. Have had a few calls from "sky" about the account I DONT have so probably that again

They said they was from sky and started asking for my personal information

Said nothing and hanged up. Tesco mobile says its suspected spam

thief, tried to rob me

They hung up immediately.
