07427 789969 Negative Who called me from this phone number?

On July 1, 2026, a call was received from +44 7427 789969. The caller asked in English, "Can I speak to Mr. E...?" and then immediately hung up. No reason for the call was given.

Same as everyone else. They called me, said my name then hung up! What do I need to do?

Missed call at 3am uk time

asked for name, hung up.

Called at 6.30pm on a Saturday. Man with English accent. Asked if the number belonged to [my name] and immediately hung up.

Got two missed calls 1 min apart and a text asking to confirm my name

Called and asked to speak to me by name. I said it was me and they hung up

Called me in Netherlands at 4 am so 3 am UK time I did not answer and they called back No answer. Hopefully I’m seen as no. Responder.

received call twice, asked my name and got disconnected when I confirmed it. I did not call back because it was weekend in UK and there was background noise which let me to believe that it was call centre perhaps.

Called me at 5am Malta time, 4am UK time - very odd time for a call so I did not answer it

Called middle of my night and asked for me by surname then hung up. Uk call to Luxembourg.

Similar to above. Called me from a UK number to my number in Singapore. It would have been 3.50am in UK. Said my name then when I said Yes, he hung up. I wonder if it is someone verifying a stolen telephone list, which he will then sell on as fully verified. A very odd call to receive.
