Was out last night got a missed call from this number after reading all this lot pressed block 👍
Vodafone was mentioned. Indian style poor English. Unwanted call. So hung up. Thought this was all made illegal in UK
Received call but was unanswered but then the mobile signal at home is rubbish, so I rarely get a ringing phone to answer to 😁. Otherwise, I don't answer numbers I don't recognise & search the net before deciding if it's genuine 😊 👍
Only one missed call, voicemail was a robovoice that said “goodbye”
Someone with a strong Indian accent claiming to be from Vodafone
07393 042749 caller states he was calling from EE and I had been selected to receive 50% of monthly bill. He said he didn’t want to know any details from me as he already knew everything but needed to send me a text with a link. Hung up and reported to EE.
Claimed to be someone calling from TikTok’s promotion department. I hung up straight after that.
The most hilarious one I’ve ever had - they’ve been texting me saying “dad it’s me I need help, add my new number on WhatsApp” (they try to use WhatsApp because it has security features that prevent police from tracking them) So for a laugh I played a long and said something like “hey Jenny is that you?” To which I got this call, a random text to speech Robovoice of a woman “hi dad it’s me please add me” - literally no one could ever hear that and think it’s a human, let alone their daughter. Anyway I kept texting more ridiculous stuff to waste their time as they were wasting mine, now I’ve told them to eff off as I have no children.
I get these calls a lot - I’m on one of their lists. It’s your usual stuff, you answer and it’s someone you can barely understand, with background noise and they try to establish credibility claiming to be from O2 or BT or Sky or whoever with a problem about your account that requires you to give your mothers maiden name and credit card details. Genuinely no idea how they think people can be so gullible, but I am looking forward to the bridge I just ordered. I played along for a minute or so until I interrupted to say I’m not with BT - at which point the call ended. But they want any info, so I never tell them so much as my first name honestly.
Could hear because of background noise sounded like children and I couldn't understand the person, but I'm sure they said, they were from BT. Why would BT people be phoneing from a private personal number especially when it from Vodafone
Unknown random mobile number missed call. No voicemail left. My guess is scam.
