0345 734 5345 Negative Who called me from this phone number?

Possibly Barclays, verify directly.

Called, left no message. No doubt another scam call.

Phoning from barclays, stole a lot of money.

+03457345345called to mobile. Number was prefixed with + symbol. Caller stated she was from Barclays Payment Verification Dept. Caller gave name of Amy Webb and spoke with a southern England accent. She stated that a direct debit had been fraudulently set up on my account and asked me to confirm identification electronically via chip and pin. She didn’t ask for pin and made it clear she would NOT ask for pin. Very convincing call. I looked online during call and could not see a direct debit to the company she stated. She said that this would not show until tonight by which time it would be too late to cancel and would take 21 days to refund the money. I know this to not be true and that and direct debit set up would show straight away. I got very suspicious at this point. She said in order for me to cancel the payment I would need to pass "level 4 security via electronic methods". She asked me to use chip and pin to "sign" in order to cancel the direct debit mandate. At this point I ended the call called Barclays via their phone numbers on their website (NOT THE NUMBER SHE PROVIDED). Barclays confirmed that this was a fraudulent call and subsequently blocked all access to online banking and cards.
