This is HSBC as my sister works there and called from there!
This is NOT HSBC!!! I contacted HSBC from their website (via webchat) this evening and had it confirmed by a representative that this is fraudulent and possibly connected to other service providers (Vodafone etc) being compromised. The email was supposedly from my local branch! Share NO information with them. Report any calls and/or emails to the HSBC Customer Care team. (I've left this comment on multiple sites because the people calling are also apparently leaving comments, saying that it's a legit number. Contact HSBC first before responding to this number, or to emails.)
