Not safe. I phoned my GP first, as the text says it is in partnership with GP's, There was nothing at all in my records, or never has been regarding breathig issues and I certainly was not on a list to check...I suspected as much but decided to see for myself. So I made sure I had a zero spend cap on EE, then called the number. An automated response answered, then told me to hold while I get connected - as soon as that happened the zero spend cap clicked in and cut off my call, probably saving me a lot of money. There are reports of charges upward of £115 on your next bill once the call is connected and the questions are answered. There are also those stating it was legit. I suggest setting your spend cap to zero before calling - just to be sure
Said it was from Lung Health and I wasxsupposed to state 'Wales' on connection. But a Google check states quite clearly that Walrs do not currently have a Lung Check. It could be ine of thise numbers that divert to a number that will charge a hell of a lot of money...I did not call or click the link.
NHS targeted lung program, currently inviting people aged between 55 and 75. Took the survey, i dont need to be seen but my husband has been invited for a ct scan.
Mumbled so much in the message the to understand a word! If it is the lung thingy, No thanks!
The link in the msg from this number took me to bit.ly/elanctlhc. https://www.lancashireandsouthcumbria.icb.nhs.uk/our-work/canceralliance/lungchecks Looks authentic but I think i am going to ask GP why i have been singled out. It might just be NHS gathering data about 'lung' issues in the Lancs and Cumbria are for their benefit. Just data gathering. If my GP is worried about me then they can do lung capacity checks at the surgery and send me for X-rays!
I checked with my Dr Surgery who assured me that I was on a list for lung checks - for over 55s at present I therefore rang the number and it is a totally legitimate survey And a worthwhile health check
Was from NHS lung survey team. Previously received a message from them and checked it out online. Call today and completed a survey to see if I am at risk of lung cancer. Would suggest taking the call.
My wife has been pestered to do a 15 minute survey from NHS Lung Survey. Missed their call twice, so probably them again.
The text message received says it's from NHS Lung health team . It also has a link inferring you should click this if more information required. Doubtful of authenticity.
