Voice mail ask me to ring this number then frozen my co operative bank account
Thins is the Co-operative bank fraud department. I was called by them while on the phone to the bank after my PayPal account was hacked and my card was compromised.
Got a call from this number saying it was the fraud dept of the Cooperative bank saying they they had concerns over a transaction trying to be done on card ending xxxx which was my debit card. They wanted me to go through a prices with them using my phone. I hung up and called the bank direct. Ther actually had been someone trying to use my card to purchase something but the bank had blocked it as they had probably tried too many times. Whoever called me was obviously trying to get details about my pin number maybe as it definitely wasn't the bank. They cancelled my card and are reissuing me with a new one. 2 hours later I got the same call again from this number same pre recorded dialogue so I hung up again. If you get one of these pre recorded calls saying its the fraud dept of your bank hang up an ring the fraud dept of your bank yourself. All UK bans you can quickly dial 159 and tell them who your bank is and it puts you through to the fraud dept of your bank.
Received suspicious texts from Co-op Bank re some payment been declined. Spelt 'Co-operative' wrong, so immediately alerted to it being a scam. Then 2 voicemails, which I didn't answer. Then two phone calls, which I didn't answer either, after checking the number was suspicious. So don't know who they are or what they want, but pretty sure it's a persistent scam attack.
Call every two hours from 09:19am to 01:25pm
Sounds like a scam. They say they're from the Coop bank UKand they are from the Fraud line. They know your name and phone number. Just hang up.
