Claimed to be calling from a repairs team about problems I had reported with my house (I hadn’t reported any issues and don’t live in a HA/council property) . They hung up straight away when I said this.

Said they were from the council to discuss housing repairs i reported. Definitely a scam I dont live in a council house.

+1 for it very likely being an AI-driven scam. Just had the number call up, knew something was up literally within 2 seconds of hearing the voice and hung up.

Sounds like AI… They couldn’t confirm which council I was with so I hung up straight away. Pretending to be repairs team..
