Text message saying it was National Westminster Plc saying my details were being updated and to call if I had not authorised the change
Text message saying it was National Westminster Plc saying my details were being updated and to call if I had not authorised the change. I didn't bother .
Someone called me from this number saying they were from Nationwide. Looking forward approval of two transactions to Boots Chemist.
Said they were from the MET police, and that I’d been involved in a data breach. Said they were going to ask some questions. Don’t think so….
Said they were HSBC and 250 had been attempted to be taken. Little did they no I generally had some one try and take money the day before so I had already blocked and ordered a new card. The minute I said this thru seemed in bothered. The call went dead and once I called back I thought it was weird it sent straight to the same person no cues or anything and no security
When i answered they asked if they were talking to me (used my name) said theu were from my bank and said they had blocked some transactions from klarna, I went onto my app to see if it highlighted my bank were talking to me but it didn't. I politely told them I wasn't talking to them then rang my bank who confirmed it was a scammer. Luckily I didn't fall for it.
