Nobody spoke. After about 2 mins of my asking who they were, I put the phone down.

Told me it was about my home emergency cover. I told them I didn't have any as it was covered by my home insurance. He hung up

Nothing was said. I remained quiet. They put phone down first.

Told me that had plumbing cover for my pipes with them for past 3 years and it was about to expire. Said that I had paid a one off payment of £60.00 for this and tried to scare monger me into taking out additional cover saying if I had a Burst pipe and they had to dig up the road it would cost upwards of £5,000.00. when I told them that was rubbish and they were responsible for and pipe issues in the road the guy actually argued with me. He argued that I had taken out the cover before and asked why he would make it up.

They offered to renew my cover , told me had been with them for three years ! I told them I had never had cover with them and not interested.

Claimed to be from Severn Trent Water and that my cover was due for renewal. Told them I wasn't even with Severn Trent and they said they didn't know why I was on their system. Funny that. Scam.

Claimed they were calling to discuss my emergency cover with Severn Trent. When I replied I didn't have the cover, they responded and said I'd had it for the past 3 years. I questioned if I was paying for this and they immediately hung up
