This is Google asking you to update your business opening hours. Totally legit. I can understand it is strange if you don;t have a business. Anyway, the call is computer gererated and quite clever in that it can ask you a question and vary the next question based on your answer. I went through the process, gave my business opening hours, and the call ended. A few minutes later I received an email from Google confirimng the hours I had given. The already have my email addess, I didnit give it during the call. Very clever and nothing to be concerned about.
Call claimed to be an automated service from Google, but automated callers don't say "mmhmm". Asked for business opening hours so he could update & then said ok and hung up. Strange single the opening hours are already correct, but can't really see how opening hours could result in a scam
Says he is from Google maps and wants to know opening hours. Unlikely story, since all our details are already on our Google business account. As if Google would make unsolicited personal calls. Silly scammer.
Same as above, American guy phoned and said he was from googlemaps and asked opening hours at 2.30pm today on 6/01/22, I asked what for, as they're all online and I can change them if I want. Said it was an automated free service - doesn't automated mean pre-recorded? It didn't add up. I asked if he was trying to sell something. He said he was having difficulty understanding me and hung up. So definitely something dodgy...!
American voice claiming to be from Google maps wanting to update my business hours. I can do that myself on my Google account. Obviously a scam
This is not a spam. Shortly after this call I've received update on my email which showed opening hours changed as I said to this guy. Same update visible on the google website.

This call was from Google regarding my online Google business page and my opening hours. It actually took the details incorrectly. 10 minutes later I received an email from Google saying it had updated my times. They were updated incorrectly. So I think this confirms this caller is Google.
This started off with a 'hello' from a gentleman with an Indian accent. When you respond 'hello' you get a different voice, which sounds like an automated recording. My guess: a caller is playing a recording down the line. DO NOT SPEAK as they are probably trying to steal your voice imprint. As we move into the future of AI and biometrics as security, your voice (like your Face ID on Apple) will be part of your security and logins.
It is from Google Just fyi if anyone was worried
Same as everyone else, an American accent saying he was from google maps and asking me for my business hours....
DO NOT ANSWER. Too many like this wanting to steal from honest people.
Google robocaller asking for hours, very rude, welcome to the future !
This number called claiming to be from Google Maps asking for business hours verification. as soon as I started questioning he promptly replied “I can only deal with Businesses and hung up. Genuine google employees would be able to give a verification of some kind so this is defo a scam. I suspect that if you did offer confirmation they then say there’s and issue and you need to pay xxx for them to rectify it.
