Verified legit NS&I auto call to verify identity whilst logging in to personal account
I had 2 phone calls on 8 Aug. I was in the garden so I never responded to them. I have no idea who they were.
NSandI...genuine calls regarding security codes for authenticating callers when buying Premium Bonds.
NS&I . Rang me as part of security check. Genuine
It was National Savings (Premium Bonds) a security check for an online transaction
After reading comments re NS&I it seems plausible as I recently bought bonds. However, the message said it was a voice echo test. Thought it was a scam to record my voice to use for illegitimate purposes. Still not sure. If it wasn’t so hard to get through to NS&I, I’d call them to verify.
Received a call from this number 10 minutes ago saying it is NSI put in code number that is on your screen, no number appeared so i hung up
Definitely part of NS&I access code verification system.
Nice to know from all the messages that these is Legitimate NS&I i think these is a new way of verification before it used to be through text code.

NS&I verification code when registering an account to buy Premium Bonds

This is a conformation call from NS&I. Automated to enter code to log in.
Confirmation of NS&I logging-in. Was my only in-coming call yesterday.
Missed the call and as I didn't recognise the number I didn't call them back. My approach is that if legit then they will try again.
I missed a call from this number (very dodgy mobile reception in my area) when I was expecting a call from National Savings and Investments security system asking for the number on my screen while logging on, so I guess this was it.
BT classed it as spam call and didn't give me an option to listen to the message left.
I had two missed calls on 15 April and two today (18th). I answered the last one and after a longish wait, a hesitant voice said Hello - so I decided to hang up as I was pretty sure I wouldn’t be interested.
