3 calls claiming to be bank of scotland about fraud
They have contacted me lots of times claiming they want to discuss fraud. I just ignored it.
I had a similar experience to the other Lloyds customer. How did they get my landline and mobile number, my full name and the last four digits of my card? I agree that it would be good if it was easy to call Lloyds Bank.
Got a couple of texts, using my name and last four digits of my card. They said if I didn't respond they'd stop the payment. I ignored them, then a phone call with an automated woman's voice with an English accent saying they were from the Bank of Scotland. Number blocked! Scam!
Tried calling me a a few times, they left a message claiming it was Halifax bank want to check a transaction I've ignored it.
Left a message asking for a call back claiming to be Halifax but no account associated with my phone number
1st contact from 07700 137903 purporting to be from Halifax bank and asking me to call 0203 909 6774
Called 3 times within a couple of hours. When I called the number back my there was a recorded message with my full name given - purporting to be from Halifax bank querying a debit card transaction (with the voice sounding very similar to the Halifax ladies voice). Did not proceed any further with the instructions the message gave.
Two calls within an hour - gave my full name, asked me to press any key to get through to an operator to discuss a potential fraudulent transaction. I didn’t follow instructions as I’ve already been scammed for a large amount a few years ago 🤨
Said they were from my Bank - Crime Prevention, said it was reference to an online card payment - Total Scam after your hard earned monies please be aware - English sounding lady pre-recorded message and then you get through to a foreign speaking gentleman.
This number called me 4 times in less than 24 hours. I didn't recognise the number so didn't answer. My phone flagged it as potential fraud.
Seemed very legit had my last 4 of my card and everything but is a scam as they were asking me to call lloyds bank on a number that isn't theirs
Sent a text asking if I bought something from xyz company, then kept calling to pretend yo be my bank
Called me in the evening stating they were from Lloyds Bank and asking me to call back on this number. Clearly not a Lloyds Bank number, but it was a recorded message sounding very similar to the recorded Lady on Lloyds messages. Doesn't help that you can't actually call Lloyds up anymore and speak to anyone to report things!
