It's UNICEF and they desperately need your help. Don't you read the papers, watch the TV news? Children are in extremis in Syria and elsewhere. Answer their call.

This number has started calling me, gentleman called "abs" said he was calling from acquire, an education company which had seen me looking for jobs recently. As I was made redundant two days ago, this was plausible but when asked how long I'd been looking he said "ooh, ouch" which seemed unprofessional & rude so I asked for the call to be terminated

I have been plagued by 02038378445 and today I was at work and answered and it was Unicef saying that I had made a donation. Now I have a company mobile and it would be fraud for me to do this as my employer pays the bill and yet the young man wouldn't listen that I had no relationship with then and that I did not consent to the call and to remove the number from their database. Will never get a penny from me

Just got a nuisance call off this number before and then just got a call and it hang up straight away! This is v.poor business and wud rather not b harrased by this number my phone shows I've been called 20+ times!

I've requested they remove my number three times now - it works for a few weeks then the incessant phone calls start again. Like most people I gave a text donation after a television appeal, I will never donate this way again unfortunately. 02038378445 UNICEF

It's from unicef. After a text donation they "want to keep you updated about their work" If you text NOCOMMS UNI to 70060 that will stop them.

I've been plagued by this number since making a donation to UNICEF's Nepal Earthquake fund by text. I shan't be donating to them again and have blocked their number.

Donated £5 to UNICEF for Nepal crisis by text to 70123. An hour later I was contacted by UNICEF from 020 3837 8445 asking me to sign up to regular donations not just a one off.

Unicef website says text NOCALL to 70007 to request no calls.

These people keep call after I've donated some money, I have asked them to stop and taker me off their records.

I too have had a few missed calls from this number. When I've rung back there's always a voice message which doesn't identify who the caller was. I was concerned someone was making money out of people ringing them back. But if it's just Unicef, I'll identify the number on my mobile & delete the missed calls if they recur.

Been getting calls from this number - even on Sunday afternoons! I donated by text a while ago, after that they phoned me trying to get me to sign up for a monthly donation. I politely explained to the girl that I already donate to another charity monthly and that I was happy to provide a one off £5 donation by text but did not want to sign up to their monthly thing. She then tried very hard to make me feel like I was the worst human being on the planet for not helping UNICEF's causes after which I asked her to remove me from her calling list. They have now clearly decided that a 2 month break is enough and they can now continue to harass me by phone again!

This is unicef pestering me for more money after I donated a fiver in response to a tv advert. I have told them several times im not interested. Latest call was 12.3.15 at 20.30

Easy on a mobile, block the contact, there is probably an easier way, but I just add a new contact (unicef) with the number, and then block contact.

I've had a few missed calls from this number and after checking I can confirm it is UNICEF...I made a txt donation to them a few days a go and they just keep ringing :(

Thanks to all you long suffering people I now know who is calling me every day around the same time. I too donated to the Syria appeal but I would be wary of doing it again.

I too texted money to a Syrian children's fund advertised on TV and now I get these calls. I had not been rung by this number before.

I gave some money to charity and now I keep getting calls from this number. Not good deed goes unpunished.

I texted a donation for Syrian children and this number called me the next day, it's UNICEF. Took all of 30 seconds to say thank you but I don't wish to donate any more and can you please remove me from your call list and that's that. Not an onerous task so chill :)

If you call 0333 011 0023 you can use the automated system to remove your number from their list, which apparently takes a day...

Come on ppl it's Unicef a charity who r only asking 5 minutes from u and couple of quids for the unfortunate who r In desperate need it takes a lot of courage and patience to ask for money just set a direct debit like me and u will feel a lot better ur helping some one not blocking them from ur conscious and moaning why me.

Yes I've been plagued by calls at all times of day and night from numbers emanating from UNICEF. I made a text donation to them on 22 Dec. They have clearly not removed my number from their system as promised. Previously they've used a series of 0800 numbers, which I never answer. Now they have switched to 020 numbers. The more charities hound me by phone, the less likely I am to make a donation to any charity which is not entirely anonymous (eg cash in a tin). I suppose this approach must work for them in raising funds, or they wouldn't do it, but it certainly won't work on me.

I would like this number to stop calling me frequently.

Tried the NOCALLS text - hopefully this will work, has put me off using text to donate in future though.

Called me. I donated by text and sent them a NOCALLS text as per their website. Last time i donate that way.

This number keeps calling me several times a day- early morning, while I'm at work, and in the evening. If it were important they'd leave a voicemail but they just keep harassing me.

I rang UNICEF head office - 02074902388 and they have removed my number - hopefully!

Please stop calling me. Endlessly.

UNICEF give the option of removing your number from their call list by calling 03330 110023, and say that your number will be removed within 1 working day. Fingers crossed..

Please unisef stop ringing my phone. It does nothing to encourage me to donate again if I get harassed by calls

I received a call from this number after a text donation. They replied with a text and a link which says "We'd like to tell you more about our work for children in danger but if you'd rather not hear from us, please text NOCALL to 70007. It can take up to one working day to remove your number from our calling so please bear with us if you receive a call in the meantime." - might help someone else!

This number wouldn't leave me alone and I dont know how to block it.

I've been called every day for about a week, never answered but if it is a charity and they have my number because I made a donation via text message then that is only going to put me off donating again like that. Not helping their own cause.

This number has now phoned me loads of times I answered as it was similar to one I was expecting but it wasn't answered. Luckily on my mobile I can block it out but these types of calls are a pain and are on the increase. It's about time they were prosecuted, and if in fact they are a charity they are going about trying to get money the wrong way in fact it will completely put people off.

My wife is being harassed every hour of nearly every day by calls from the number above which I know now as UNICEF, I have noticed also another number 02034780328 is becoming as frequent as UNICEF. Surely something can be done to stop these calls legally by the powers that monitor Charities.
