They said they needed to check the address (she read out my address) as they wanted to send me a device that would stop scam calls. When I said they were a scam call, she hung up.

I received 2 calls around 1pm in quick succession whilst I was driving, so I was not going to stop for strangers. Both calls ang until they timed out. I glanced at my phone and I had already marked that number as being suspected Scam/Spam so I completely ignored it. THe fact that I had marked it shows that I have come across this number before. That is all i can tell you.
