UK Power networks about power cut in the area, but caused more confusion/worry than help.
This is UK Power Networks number, have just rung them on the number I have for them and had it confirmed.
someone has sold my number to a scam call centre and they are just trying it on - whether they are in India Pakistan or Manchester or London - using VOIP making cheap phone calls to rip people off.
Recorded message from "UK Power Networks" trying to get me to go to a web site. It may be genuinely intended to convey information about their role. However - an unsolicited message like that is a very naive way to contact customers for no good reason.
I agree! How dare they leave such a (for an elderly customer) such a scary, garbled message. They ought to be ashamed of themselves. Deleted!!
It was about a power cut but the message wanted me to press 1 for more information and they got the postcode letters the wrong way round. There had been a power cut earlier so I don't know if this was genuine or not.
Message about shortage of Electricity etc etc. cut call off.
Had a call this morning in my landline. Said it was UK power network regarding a power cut in my area. The postcode mentioned firs not correspond to the address. As soon as they said press 1 for more options, I hung up as This appears suspicious. UK power network usually contacts me by e.mail.
This was a genuine call to give advice about the power cut we were experienceing at the time. We got this call for being on their priority register.
On 7th Nov at 11.00PM a 89 year old vulnerable adult received a call from this number. Absolutely disgusting.
Getting to frequent tried blocking still gets through..

UK Power networks, autocalled after a power cut in my area. Luckily I had power back on to be able to receive the call.
I was called today following a brief power cut, claiming to be electricity company.. Was asked to press 2 so hung up.
A message about a power cut locally but the postcode mentioned isn't mine. Press a number for more info, so I hung up.
