Amazon Prime saying somebody had opened an account in my name and I have been charged £99.99 Asked them to confirm my name but lady said call was being recorded and couldn't divulge personal information. Said I was happy to have this personal information about myself on record and caller hung up! This time I have received this call 24 hours from same number.
Just been called by this number and a foreign gentleman calling himself Peter said he was from BT and then changed his mind and said he was from Amazon. Tried to tell me my account had not been paid, And wanted me to rectify this. I questioned him and he hung up.
Claiming to be from Amazon saying somebody had opened an Amazon Prime Account in my name and todownload an app to resolve. When I asked the caller to confirm my name Mrs Gates. When I replied wrong name they asked for my name which I wouldn't give so they hung up.
