A call from 'Jane' allegedly from the 'green ecocentre' (whatever that is) to tell me that my loft insulation could be out of date and causing mould. I asked where the company was based and Jane didn't answer but continued the spiel. I asked whether Jane was a human being and Jane said Jane wasn't a robot but was using computer software to answer my questions because Jane was new at the job. I asked Jane what insulation they had on record as being in my house and Jane couldn't answer. In the end Jane said 'I am very sorry to disturb you' and the call ended. This is so obviously not a human being but an automatic system targeting vulnerable people. I'm in Cornwall. (I've not used pronouns but I hope you'll get the gist.) This is so tiresome!
