Keeps phoning from O2 when we have Giffgaff account and no intention of changing
Said they were from 3. New handset. Blocked.
"Hi, I'm calling about your account with 3" Of course, i don't have an account with 3
As above, pretended to be from o2 checking to see if I wanted to upgrade my handset/switch to a lower monthly bill. Troublingly, they knew my first name.
Asked if I wanted to reduce my mobile phone bill. Told them I wasn't interested. And she asked "your not interested in reducing your bill" I said no, told her to stop harassing me or I would report them and she laughed and hung up
Saying they are from o2 I’ve told them previously to politely go away
Started the call by saying “I’m not sure who I should be talking to”. Then asked to speak to the O2 Account holder. Firstly we do not have an O2 account and secondly, surely if they were calling from O2 they’d have the information/details of the account holder. Do not give out or confirm any of your details it’s highly unlikely to be from a mobile network! Reply
"Hi there, it's Ben calling you about your.....er, O2 account" Nope!
Above number called 19/11/21 @ 13:17. Not answered, and no message left
Ringing pretending to be o2 to offer discounts, I checked with o2 after hanging up on this call and o2 confirmed it was not them they would not ask for those details.
