pretending to be from EE promotions team - definitely a scam and number reported to EE fraud team. They managed to order a phone in my name!
This is linked to virgin media. If you was one of the 900,000 customers who got hacked then you will get these calls. Virgin still hasn't addressed the data breach that happened a couple of years ago and the constant spam phone calls and emails virgin customers are getting.
A man with Asian accent said EE. I didn't understand what he said apart from he was looking the screen in front of him... I said I wasn't with EE then he said goodbye.
Mobile phone security stated 'potential fraud' didn't bother to answer and blocked.
Pretending to be EE giving me an iPhone 13 for 40 pound a month… scam
Didn’t answer as it was from a very similar number as the one that called yesterday. So came here to check and yep, no doubt it was a scam too. Yet another number blocked and reported to 7726
I did the same. Ignored it and searched on here. Thanks
I just got a call from this number, didn't answer it. From the other comments here, I guess it's a scam or fraud.
The lady said she was from car phone warehouse,I hung up
Indian scammers. Trying to flog new phone deals, obtain your info. If you dial the number back it says 'KM ENERGY & GAS'. Managed to get that they are from Kolkata in India despite repeats attempt to claim they are in Oxford Street.
Pretending to be O2, managed to submit a security code sms to me so I would imagine that O2 have been compromised and these idiots have customer details. Don’t give them the security code and change passwords people
Didn't answer - checked here for confirmation before calling back - thanks for the heads up! So sick of unsolicited spam calls!!! Thank goodness for this site :)
Rang out of the blue - checked this and didn't call back, thanks guys!
Said they were calling from O2 and insisted I have a contract with them even though I do not. They mentioned something about a 30% off deal or something. Played along for a little while out of sheer boredom. Very likely a scam.
just called me too, searched, found these comments - likely similar, didn't bother answering
Caller with an accent said they were from Curry's PC World. Clearly a scam; I hung up!
Allegedly from O2 - deliberately led him on a very long cycle of mis understanding the caller, getting him to repeat what he was saying, asking more about the 30% and whether it was tax deductible, whether i could get reduced VAT rate on the discount due to covid, all sort of utterly useless questions on my part to waste his time and give me a giggle :) Then got bored asked him if he was from Chenai in India and he hung up straight away.
Lady with West Asian (Indian, Pakistani or Bangladeshi) accent apparently calling from O2 to give me 30% discount for next few months due to Covid. I told her I wasn't interested and I hung up. She had called seconds before on 01841 600 002.
(in an indian accent) "Hello, My name is Jordan and I am calling you from O2 network. How are you today ?" [CALL TERMINATED FROM MY SIDE!]
