01782 401193 Negative Who called me from this phone number?

Had two calls now asking me to call them. If you do then they consider you to have consented to them being able to phone or message you at any time thereon (I used to provide IT support to a similar ‘credit’ agency so I know their mechanisms), so DON’T make contact - just block - unless you know for certain that there is a genuine dispute in progress in which case you should have claimant or court paperwork you can respond to.

Partially inaudible message but gave website of Advantis Credit and return telephone number 01782 971403. I presumed this was a scam.

They are on behalf of HMRC and are using a power dialler to ring numbers and are actually breaking the law as they are operating what is known as "Silent Calls" I dont owe HMRC anything, in fact they owe me £1520 tax rebate so why they ring me is a mystery

Many calls to our land line-when answered met with corrupted recorded message. Won’t be answering again.

They call me as well several times

They keep phoning me regarding a Tax debt they say I owe. Running my own Accountancy business, then I am sure I would be the first to know if I owe anything. Suggest that everybody ignores their calls

Over the past couple of weeks I've had text messages saying 'This is an urgent message from Advantis. We have a personal business ... I don't open the message so don't know what the rest of it says. I've also had phone calls which go to voicemail and say they have written to me about an urgent business matter they want to discuss with me and to call them on this number. I have not received any letters from them, don't owe anyone money so won't be answering their calls or contacting them. I've not blocked the number as I'm hoping that totally ignoring them makes them give up. I've joined the Telephone Preference Scheme in the hope that it stops the calls and texts.

Very quiet message. Hardly audible but telling me they need to contact me and to ring back. I’ve had a very similar one recently but I blocked that number and will do the same for this one.

They called me and new my name..

I received a call today from someone calling themselves Avantis credit. As said by other people they claim to have sent a letter but no letter has been received. We don’t owe money to anyone I would recommend that you don’t respond to the phone number they leave as I’m sure this is a scam. They are using scare tactics by saying they are a credit company to get vulnerable people to phone no doubt to get their personal details to scam them.

Keep getting repeated calls leaves no message

Called today did not answer

Multiple scam calls about fake debt. Think they are connected with Mortimer Clarke who also tried a credit scam. Started calling as soon as I blocked the other line.

Debt collection for HMRC, totally legit!

I have received several missed calls from this number but never got to them. Use of this service reveals them to be Advantis. I have also received a text from them saying that they have contacted me about my account. I have no account with any company by the name of Advantis.

It's a scam.

Robocall from Advantis Credit wanting me to call them! They have called many times so number now blocked. I don't owe any money to anyone, I got so fed up with their calls, I called them and they put they terminated the call when I refused to give my name.

Automated call, claiming to be from Advantis debt collection 'following up on letters sent' (non received) and offering to transfer me to an 'advisor' I have no debt so must be some kind of scam

Just had 2 calls from this number on answerphone can't hear very crackling noise. Think it's a scam.

Automated call from Advantis Credit. Following up on a letter they sent me but I never received. I don't owe anyone anything so either they had a wrong number or it's a scam. If they really wanted to contact me, they should speak to me personally.

I keep getting calls from +44 1782 401193 Stoke-On-Trent, England saying they're a debt collector called Advantist? I don’t owe any money. Do you know who they are?

I was left a voice message which is not audible except for the telephone number . No idea who this is or what they want . Suspect it is a scam . Strange that only the telephone number can be heard despite 3 people trying to hear it and phone on full volume .
