It is Avantis, they are a debt collection agency who work on behalf of many companies in the UK. They spam you with letters and calls and will only talk to you if you confirm your name, address and date of birth.

Have had numerous calls, texts and recently a letter from this company advantis.. the letter read I owe british gas money( I dont) ... contacted BG, they said just ignore.!!

01782 401192 called me a couple times now, not able to tell who they are and like so many have already stated, hard to hear them and what they are saying. I have read through other comments on this site and a few have stated the debt is from DVLA. So I called DVLA on 0300 790 6808 - can be found on their official site here https://www.gov.uk/pay-dvla-fine or if you want to be extra safe, then google/edge or browser search the number yourself. They can check your car registration for you and make sure you do not owe any money. Needless to say, I have not received any letters from Advantis or DVLA and when DVLA checked my car registrations, they came back clear, no debt owed. So be careful and take the time to do some research before agreeing to pay a debt you might not actual owe!.

This is a legitimate number for Advantis Credit, a debt collection agency. I spoke to them directly and they confirmed this. If you have received a call from them, they are dealing with an outstanding debt of yours. Don't ignore them!

These are a company called Advantis. They are a debt recovery company and have clients such as DVLA. I have spoken to them regarding a dispute with the DVLA. Seem very understanding and fair.

It started with a text or 2 from advant about a debt. I have no debt that I'm aware of so left it. The txt said they wrote to me but not had anything. Month later I get calls from Stoke on trent. Very quiet recording. They keep phoning bur I can't hear it well. Came here to research and found it could be a scam. Ugh bloody people

said we have a client in common (i don't have my own business) they are a scam. won't stop calling me. i told them that my number is registered with the tps.

Sat 30 Jul 2022. 9.30am Automated call THREATENING my well-being if I didn’t phone back to arrange payments on debts before the collectors visit! I have NO debts and if I had No registered collection agency is allowed by law to pester anyone outside office business hours or during weekends, bank holidays, or at your place of work. This is a SCAM!! Invest in a phone call blocker!

They want you to give personal info DO NOT REPLY to them

Recorded message says they have written to me (not true). Please visit our website for more information. Their words not mine "Advantis are a leading UK Debt Collection Agency, specialising in Debt Collection and Credit Management. Advantis have a proven track record of helping a wide range of businesses with solutions for their debt recovery problems." Seems a strange way of vying for business.

Scam recorded call from "credit company" called Avant. Do not call them back

I receive a recorded message call from this number every other day! They never ask for a particular person, simply say they need to speak with me, and that I should call them back. Quite obviously a SCAM, as they never say "this is a message for ..........", so they are obviously hoping to eventually get hold of an elderly person who will obligingly follow their instructions. Totally dishonest behaviour.

Left a message telling me to call them back as this was a debt matter. I know I have no debt so I think this is a scam!!!

Had two calls from this number saying its a personal finance matter and if I want to talk to an advisor . It sounds like a scam call
